Dr Varkha Rattu qualified from Queen Mary University of London in 2018.

She is now a final-year resident on the part-time, four-year Periodontology postgraduate programme at King’s College London, Guy’s Hospital. Here, she focuses on managing complex periodontal cases and actively engages in research, which she finds deeply fulfilling.

Dr Amar Puttanna, a renowned Diabetes & Endocrine Consultant, leads the initiative alongside specialists like Dr Dominika Antoniszczak, who combines her personal experience with Type 1 Diabetes and her clinical expertise to advocate for integrated care. Dr Mira Shah and Dr Jasmine Loke bring advanced clinical knowledge in periodontology and innovative research, including AI-driven diagnostics. Dr Varkha Rattu, the founder of the Hub, has pioneered initiatives that bridge the gap between medical and dental care, with a particular focus on diabetes management. Together, the team is dedicated to advancing education, research, and collaboration to improve patient outcomes in the intersection of periodontitis and diabetes.
